VDH: Moscow’s Sinister Brilliance

VDH knocks this Georgian war of the park, calling out Russia and the moral bankruptcy of the left.

The long-suffering Russian people resent the loss of global influence and empire, but not necessarily the Soviet Union and its gulags that once ensured such stature. The invasion restores a sense of Russian nationalism and power to its populace without the stink of Stalinism, and is indeed cloaked as a sort of humanitarian intervention on behalf of beleaguered Ossetians.

There will be no Russian demonstrations about an “illegal war,” much less nonsense about “blood for oil,” but instead rejoicing at the payback of an uppity former province that felt its Western credentials somehow trumped Russian tanks.

Obviously, the military encroachment into a sovereign democratic nation without US involvement is automatically “legal”. No peace group worth their salt will demonstrate against this aggressive tactic by Russia.

Speaking of the morally bankrupt peace groups (CCPM) and Euros:

The Russians have sized up the moral bankruptcy of the Western Left. They know that half-a-million Europeans would turn out to damn their patron the United States for removing a dictator and fostering democracy, but not more than a half-dozen would do the same to criticize their long-time enemy from bombing a constitutional state.

Didn’t see one sign from the CCPM decrying the military aggression of Russia last Saturday. The silence is deafening, but there could be no other response. VDH sums the point up that due to the actions of such groups, no good could ever be percieved from any reaction by the US government( Unless there is a Dem in the White House – or in that case Black House)

From what the Russians learned of the Western reaction to Iraq, they expect their best apologists will be American politicians, pundits, professors, and essayists — and once more they will not be disappointed. We are a culture, after all, that after damning Iraqi democracy as too violent, broke, and disorganized, is now damning Iraqi democracy as too conniving, rich, and self-interested — the only common denominator being whatever we do, and whomever we help, cannot be good.

UPDATE: A response to this aggression from the Director of the CCPM and Chester County Obama Team Leader:

Can’t we find a padded cell somewhere to put Bush-Cheney-Rice-et al. until January 2009 when the “end of an error” takes place? Like, how much more damage are they going to do with only 5 months left? How much more? How many more people will die because of this frat party group? Can’t we ship them all off to Texas to clear brush or something? Make Bush stay in Beijing in his little bleacher seat?

I kept feeling over the past week that “something smells” about this whole Russian invasion of Georgia – as the story unfolds, it has, more and more, the Bush Gang’s fingerprints all over it. A bunch of childish, egomaniacal people who should have stuck to checkers trying to play chess (or Risk?).

Typical BDS from an Obama supporter. Do you really want a person who views life through the lens of a Bush Derangement Syndrome to tell you who to vote for come November?

Wenesday Troika

Karen Heller, The Inq’s resident expert on “ignorant, semi literate boob’s” and cheesesteaks is feeling the after-effects of a political equivalent to a one night stand.

We’re sad, not bitter, sad. Bereft, even. Hillary’s left. Barack’s departed. They’ve moved on.

We haven’t.

The phone slumbers. The mail slot’s liberated from the clot of political mailers. Our Outlook inbox is cleared of hourly missives.

The governor and mayor called nightly, never at 3 a.m., but nightly. “Bet it’s Ed, again,” we declared before lifting the receiver. Sure enough, it was.

In the final stages, the surrogates receded.

Barack, Hillary and the Big Dog phoned directly, as well they should. We
mattered, big time.

Now, where, oh where, is the love?

Yeah, love and politics can bite – big time. Despite these clanging chimes of doom, the writer finds a familiar theme to cling to in this dark time – BDS .

But when Pennsylvanians get angry and frustrated about the state of things, they don’t cling to guns or religion.

They cling to their utter disgust with the Bush administration.

And so goes another notch in the political landscape of Pennsylvania. If this encounter left liberals blue, imagine how they will feel when McCain moves into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Jennifer Gallagher’s New Blog!

To my friends, I have started a new blog. I created it to try and change things. I got tired of hearing “oh, nothing is made made in American anymore” when nothing could be further from the truth. You can purchase American made products and I’m going to point in the direction how. I’ve been working on this for a while. If anyone has any information or input feel free to do so. I have many links and it will be a while before it starts going anywhere but the first company I posted on my site as a proud American manufacturer is Valley Forge Flags. These are the brand of flags I display and carry when going into battle with anti American peace protesters. I hope everyone will help out by taking the time to do some research visit my blog and the links before you plunk down your hard earned cash and end up with some foreign made junk. My blog is called “Made in the USA” and here is the address:

Iraq War Veteran and Family Assaulted

Peace Protesters, College Professors and Hillary Supporters assault Iraqi War Veteran and Family while citizens do nothing to intervene. I am saddened, but not surprised, to read this account. My thoughts and prayers are with this family.

‘Maddy’ – The Mad Cow Mascot

A prion has been formally adopted by a local infection control department. The orphaned prion had been named “Maddy” and is settling in quite well with his/her/it’s adoptive office mates.

What the Frak – Episode 1

Nestled on the link panel is a small script that track visitors to MidnightBlue. Statcounter is a great utility bloggers can use to track traffic patterns on their websites. On smart feature within Statcounter is called Recent Keyword Analysis. This function allows the user to see how the latest visitors to the website are using the search engines to find your website. Essentially you can view the ‘keyword’ typed into a search engine that lead the viewer to your site. It can be quite illuminating to see what keywords drove visitors to your website.

This leads me to my ‘What The Frak!” moment: I have discovered someone found my blog via a keyword search of “George Galloway Shirtless”. A mental visual that lingers like a bad burrito.
I’m still in mystification as to why MidnightBlue could in anyway be linked to a shirtless Galloway?
