Stop Bitching, Start a Revolution

Evan Coyne Maloney remembers back in the day – pre Age of Obama – when dissent was the highest form of patriotism – as described by the Dems:

Dems absolutely believe Bush is Hitler (2005) and these same Dems voted for Obama:

You can find them my area as well – this sign was prominently on display by the CCPM in West Chester, Pa:

Back in the day, Dems were free to label their Republican president as a Nazi with impunity. Today, the only ones making Obama-hitler comparisons today are La Rouch Democrats. The individual who created the Joker image of Obama is neither white or rightwing. Our gun totting American was also not white, no matter how much Contessa wanted you to believe that he was. How could the Dem leadership be so wrong in their condemnation of the mob? If they can’t get this right, how can they promise to deliver better healthcare or environmental stewardship when they can’t diagnose a problem within their own party?

The Harridan is Baaaaack!

Just when I thought she packed up her marbles and stomped home….a new post on the Peace Archive shattered the idea. Karen Porter returns with increased vitriol, fear mongering and blinding hatred for her fellow Americans – in other words a classic Obama supporter:

I’m b-a-a-a-a-a-c-k….

For the past several months, I have been a bit off-key, folks. Some of you have asked where I’ve been. Well, I’ve been here, but sometimes life is what happens when you’re making your plans

I’d say she has been a bit ‘off-key’ all her life….but I don’t want to take away from her perceived ‘specialness’.

The words of a peacemaker?

Almost two years ago, we faced a group of nothing less than thugs and bullies on our (yes, “our”) street corner. We saw them for what they were – a violent, hate-filled, stop-at-nothing, truly fascist group controlled by the money powers in this country and egged on by the ignorant. Call it what it is: I called them for what they are, the “brown shirts” of our time – and that is exactly what they are. They have not changed in nature but cleaned up their act once their direct ties to the Republican Party became apparent and they entered the realm of formal party politics. Their signs are toned down, their most vicious dogs have been called off (at least, if they are there, they are relatively muzzled now out of nothing but political concerns), they make a great showing of faked “respectability.” But they still are what they are.

Poor, deluded Karen, that corner is as much the Sheepdogs as it is yours – get over it – you own nothing. The Sheepdogs have been fortunate enough to build bridges with Republican leaders, and have never hid our connection, instead proudly proclaimed it. Unlike the CCPM that has been disowned by the Chester County Democrats, we found support and mentoring from the Chester County Republicans.

Yes, we are still waiting for our checks from Blackwater – I’m assuming that is what she meant by the Sheepdogs being ‘controlled by money powers’. We’ve heard this line before and Karen proves the point that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.

I laugh at the use of discriptors such as “thugs and bullies” – how many CCPM members have been arrested on OUR corner? How many CCPM members have been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and REAP? Lets take a walk down memory lane:

The Sheepdogs are a ever increasing group of honorable veterans, mothers and fathers of soldiers currently serving, and proud patriots that simply love our country. We are mainstream America at its finest. We are Sheepdogs – and the difference is everything:

West Chester Rallypalooza!

What a celebration of America was witnessed in West Chester, Pa. I have to give thanks to Carl from Delco Cruisers and Slim from Confederation of Motorcycles for arranging an impressive display of over 300 motorcycles and 25 classic cars. It was breathtaking – thank you so much for all you do!

Rich Davis organized a picture perfect rally and after party. As I told Mary Lou, I always feel a thousand times happier attending a rally, this one went far and above any expectation. Kudos to Rich for making this day happen.

I wasn’t the only one feeling the love, a pedestrian walking past me observed out loud that he prefers our side of the street. I couldn’t agree more!

The rally attracted all kinds of attention, from near constant honks from passing motorists to a mysterious Moped motorist. Mr. Moped revisited our corner twice, with video camera in hand, and was greeted with cheers both times. We are just cool like that.

The sight of men in denim and leather caused bouts of abject terror with the left side of the street. The smallest of their bunch tried to instigate a fight, but Rich Davis wisely intervened and saved this person from an embarrassing situation.

You can view more photos from the day on Flickr

Daily Local’s own gadfly about town actually showed up early for this rally, you can read his report HERE

Colin Hannah on Fox News

West Chester’s own Colin Hannah appeared on Fox News with Megan Kelly to discuss his organization, Let Freedom Ring, and their project to have politicians sign a pledge to read the bills they are required to vote upon.

Sheepdogs Remember Neda

Donning green wristbands, the Sheepdogs stand in solidarity with the people of Iran.

The former prime minister of Spain, Jose Maria Anzar, reflects on the silence of Western nations in the wake of brutal crackdown in Iran:

The recent elections in Lebanon are a clear example. The progressive normalization of Iraq is another. It would be a shame, particularly in the face of such regional progress, if our passivity gave carte blanche to a tyrannical regime to finish off the dissidents and persist with its revolutionary plans.

Delayed public displays of indignation may be good for internal political consumption. But the consequences of Western inaction have already materialized. Watching videos of innocent Iranians being brutalized, it’s hard to defend silence.

Check out the green wrist bands on the group shot!

As always, our thoughts are with the men and women of the West Chester Stryker Brigade:

Because they lie – the other side – all six of them:

Sheepdog Flag Day Celebration 2009

An outstanding Flag Day rally was held on the steps of the Chester County Courthouse today. About 150 patriots gathered to celebrate the Flag and nation it represents. Thank You Sheepdogs for making this day happen!

Special thanks to Rep Curt Schroder, Carolyn “Bunny” Welsh, and West Chester’s Mayor – Dick Yoder for taking time out of their hectic schedule to participate in this event. The videos of their speeches will be posted shortly. In the meantime, I’ve posted a few photos from the event for you to peruse. The complete set of photos can be found on FLICKR

UPDATE: The DLN published a great article on the Sheepdog’s Flag Day celebration. I congratulate Dan Kristie on confirming what many Sheepdogs had speculated – the CCPM is simply a political front, with no real interest in peace or supporting our troops:

Peace Movement leader Karen Porter said that, now that Barack Obama is president, many of the Peace Movement demonstrators feel they have accomplished their goal. “A lot of us have chosen to step back and let Obama do what he has to do,” Porter said.

Knights of Columbus Honor Guard:

A duo of Patriots:
The massive display of Old Glory was absolutely inspiring!

The current Mayor of West Chester took time to pose for a photo with a former Mayor of West Chester.

10 Hottest New Media Guy On The Right

Melissa Clouthier turns up the heat on RWN with a list of the 10 sexiest guys on the right. Mmm..it is good to right these days.

I’ve a few edits to Melissa’s magnificent list. I’d bump the bad boy – Brooks Bayne – he’s libertarian and won’t let me follow him on Twitter. Your outta here!

I’d replace Brooks with a real man and real conservative: Sean Carpenter

One cannot get through the day with out a dose of Caleb Howe. The guy is a remarkable investigator and kindred soul. You must get to know him.

The SWCC guys should be at the the top any list – they are heroes and world class gentlemen. When they visited Philly last year I was able to interview them and go for a ride in their super fly Mark V.

Photos by the magnificent Neocon and Skye

DO NOT FORGET THE FRENCH! Well..actually Danish….Erik Svane of Non Pasaran!

President Flip-Flop?

Ouch:

The spinelessness and moral cowardice of the Obama administration know no bounds.

New York Times:

He told Planned Parenthood that his first act as president would be to sign an abortion rights bill into law; now he says it is “not my highest legislative priority.” He promised gay rights advocates that he would work for the repeal of the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, but he has pushed action into the future. A proponent of transparency, he released previously classified memos describing the C.I.A.’s harsh interrogation techniques. But then he moved to block the release of photos showing abuse of detainees — a 180-degree turn from his administration’s previous position.

On all these fronts, Mr. Obama and his aides have offered detailed explanations of the factors that shape his decision-making. So far, the public seems on board. But in a sound-bite culture, there are limits to how much nuance the public can absorb.

H/T: Cannonfire

Speaking of flip flopping and moral spinelessness – it seems the webmaster/mistress of ccdemocrats.com – a blog registered to Karen McCool – is attempting to cover its tracks by scrubbing the title of a recent post and claiming no knowledge of this offensive term.

It is quite clear my illumination of the title ‘Tea-bagged?‘ has driven the recent wordsmithing of the title. Without my intervention, that title would have remained as permanent insult to women and gays. It is apparent this Democrat administration is no friend of gay rights advocates – why should acolytes of this administration in West Chester behave differently?

“In the moment of crisis the wise build bridges and the foolish rework blog titles.”
