SEIU Tantrum Tour LowLights
As the Tantrum Tour rolls through the nation, the more I am convinced we are witnessing a long overdue ‘Intervention’ episode for public sector union members.
As with any intervention, there are always moments when the addict lashes out – in this case union goons slaps have escalated to pushes, shoving.
Blogging While Female – Protest Safety Tips – UPDATED
There is a lot going on in the world. Check out Verum Serum for updates on everything else that is happening on this planet. Tonight, I want to talk about safety issues when covering a protest composed of people like this:
Tabitha’s shocking experience covering a protest outside of Freedomwork’s has prompted me to share a few safety tips for my fellow female blogger/activist types:
Conservative Female Activist Assaulted by Union Thug
“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” – Barack Obama
Sometimes it’s necessary to get out on the streets and “get a little bloody,” – Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Mass.)
Tabitha Hale, a tea party activist, blogger and FreedomWorks employee was assaulted outside Freedomworks office by angry pro union thug. Tabitha was videotaping an exchange between a coworker and a member of the Communications Workers of America (CWA) when she was attacked. As the debate began to disintegrate for the angry thug and he took out his frustrations with physical violence against Tabitha, not the man he was debating.
She has posted the video of the assault – see for yourself the violent nature of union members:
CPAC Experience Wrap Up
Inspired by my Fedora friend, Da Tech Guy and his one liner recap of CPAC, here are a few off-the-cuff, in no particular order, reflections on CPAC 2011:
Pseudo Environmentalist Derailed at CPAC
Ann McElhinney, director and producer of “Not Evil Just Wrong“, schools a critic on his misguided ideas regarding the oil and gas industry while calling out his own environmental hypocrisy at the 2011 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
Ann…for the record…you rock.
For the sake of transparency, I will disclose that I traveled to CPAC via Amtrak and DC Metro. In addition, I walked to the conference from a nearby Bed and Breakfast.

A Troglopundit in Madison, Wisconsin
One of the most famous bloggers in Wisconsin, Troglopundit, has set out to witness the dueling protests at the Wisconsin capitol building. He promises to be good and take lots of photos and notes of his adventure.
Check out his Tweets from the protest and view photos of the event at his blog, The Troglopundit.
PS: Have you signed the petition to stand in support of Governor Scott Walker? If not, you have my permission to leave this blog to do so.
PSS: Ann Althouse discovered physicians offering to write ‘sick notes’ for striking teachers. Wow, not sure how many of the physicians identified as handing out fraudulent scripts will still be able to practice in WI or anywhere in the US.
UPDATE: Troglopundit has posted a selection of signs displayed at the protest. Go have a peek at them HERE
UPDATE: Breitbart “We are the new Peace Movement”:
Meanwhile in peaceful Philadelphia, I’ve been busy maintaining a sub 30 minute 5K and documenting early signs of spring in my garden. Not quite as sexy as covering a raucous rally, but it’s all I got in Philly. Pictured below are a few of the 25+ red and white tulip bulbs planted last fall.
CPAC Experience: The Ron Paul Reality
Donald Trump’s remarks at CPAC:
That about sums up the reality of Ron Paul.
Deal with it, Paulbots.
