This November 4th – Fire Congressman Murphy

For two years, Congressman Murphy has done nothing but claim the work of his predecessor Michael Fitzpatrick as his own.

That makes one pause and ask what has Murphy done for his constituents?

He campaigned on a promise to end the war in Iraq, thankfully, his promise turned out to be a spectacular failure in the light of the success of The Surge.

He was all smiles with Nancy Pelosi, who also pledged to end the war in Iraq, as he signed on to non-binding Iraq resolution that opposed the Surge. Considering the success of the surge in Iraq, his support of this non binding resolution seems reckless and ill advised.

He cheerfully accepted donations from Fannie Mae, as he voted to spend 800 billion of our tax dollars to cover the impending failure of Fannie Mae mortgages. His vote has sent a bill of $40,000 to each and every tax payer in the 8th district. In a typical anti war fashion, he blamed the mortgage crisis on the Iraq war. Yeah, we all know the Iraq war forced banks like Citibank to give sub prime loans to questionable borrowers in 1994. Or was that Barak Obama?

It is not that Congressman Murphy has not actually produced anything on the tax payers dime – he did manage to find time to write his memoirs during his first few months in office. When he wasn’t fine tuning his biographical opus, he was busy requesting 30 million in earmark spending for what specifically, he won’t comment.

Speaking of earmark funding, how soon will Congressman Murphy release the names of each and every earmark sponsor of the bailout bill? Go ahead and ask him – we are the ones paying for them.

Who precisely is funding Congressman Murphy’s campaign? It is well known that he has accepted donations from Fannie Mae, but a quick look at his campaign war chest reveals who else owns his vote. Guess what – it is NOT his constituents:

Nearly half of his campaign funding comes from out-of-state donors. That level of donation requires a response from the candidate, and it usually come in the form of a vote. What else would be expected from a Moveon.org supported candidate:

This organization famous for declaring to the DNC :”Now it’s our party: we bought it, we own it, and we’re going to take it back.” Well, they may not own the DNC, but they certainly own Congressman Murphy.

Congressman Murphy has voted 100% of the time along the DNC party line during his brief two years as a Congressman. There is no evidence that he would behave differently if re-elected. Is his goose-stepping to the party line the embodiment of the “Change” envisioned by Obama.

Perhaps he learned such goose-stepping from his political best friend – Bill Perry. An anti-war veteran, much like Murphy. In Vietnam, Perry is famous for leading his troops into an ambush and watching as the ‘platoon gets pretty well shot up”. On the political level, reckless and ill advised support of resolutions can have the same devastating effect on soldiers.

Let’s summarize what has he done for his constituents lately:

Congressman Murphy has claimed the hard work of his predecessor as his own, failed to deliver on campaign promises, voted to take minimally $40,000 in tax dollars from every single one of his constituents, has a steady stream of funding from out of state donors and has crappy taste in political allies. Is this the change you voted for in 2006? Is this the “Change” you want in 2008?

Team Sarah Video – Wink, Wink

Team Sarah’s response to Obama’s Wink ad. Team Sarah is a diverse coalition of women dedicated to advancing Sarah Palin’s Vice Presidential candidacy. Men welcome too!

Philadelphia’s Evening Bulletin printed this articulate dissection of the media’s treatment of Sarah Palin:

Dear Gov. Palin,

I am writing to you to apologize. I apologize for the way the mainstream media has treated you since Sen. John McCain chose you as his running mate. The scrutiny you have endured during this campaign is unimaginable, but you have handled it quite well. Sens. Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden have been given free passes from the mainstream media while you have had to defend and explain everything from faith, to teen pregnancy, to foreign policy. I often wonder what it might be like for your children and your husband to watch the evening news and to hear how the leftists of mainstream news-making portray you as a “right wing nut job” whose only talent is shooting moose and riding snowmobiles. It must be frightening for your children to see news reports out of Philadelphia that protestors actually made T-shirts describing you in an abhorrently derogatory manner.

I apologize for the way Hollywood has slandered your name and portrayed you as a provincial hockey mom with a funny accent. I apologize that they fail to see your good nature, your intelligence, your forthrightness, and your ability to wear many hats as you balance civil service with family service.

I apologize for celebrities like Matt Damon, Pam Anderson and Madonna who pontificate on their world stage and claim to know more about government than you do. I am sorry that they think their celebrity status and a few starring roles gives them political omniscience. Your upright life has shined a light in places of darkness for them. In you they see morality, class, and dignity – things they don’t have; therefore, they upbraid you any chance they get.

I apologize for the main stream media accusing you of banning books, asking you “gotcha” questions, and questioning who paid for your wardrobe. Instead, they should be asking you what you think of Barack Obama’s links to Fannie Mae and the current mortgage crisis, or how drilling in ANWAR might ease our dependence foreign oil from Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, and Iran. They should ask you what you think of Palestinians setting up phone banks in Gaza to call Americans and urge them to vote for Barack Obama. They should ask you what you think of Hamas – a known terrorist, anti-American, anti-Israeli organization – supporting Sen. Obama.

I apologize that the mainstream media throws softball questions to Sen. Obama and then investigates who paid for your clothes or pries into your daughter’s personal life. I apologize that the issues aren’t at issue in this election, and it is largely because of news outlets like ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and The New York Times.

I apologize that the mainstream media considers you a cog in a political machine. I consider you an intelligent woman, a patriot, a Christian and a wonderful person who would be ready to lead America should she be called upon to do so.

You are everything that true conservatives have been waiting for since Ronald Reagan and I apologize that America seems to hate you for that. You support traditional marriage and understand the gender roles of men and women. You defend my right to own a firearm to protect my home. You choose life. You believe in a strong national defense and your son serves in the U.S. Army. You believe a limited government serves its people better than one that over-taxes and overspends. You believe in strong families.

I am confident that you would uphold the Constitution and serve well as vice president of my country. I apologize that America continues to condemn you for these things. I apologize that liberals and elitists are frightened by all of these wonderful things about you.

Thank you, Sarah Palin, for putting America first.

Meet Cory The Driller and Peggy Joseph the Voter

Via Stix Blog

Joe the Plumber, and Tito the Builder are inspiring other American’s to wake up and smell the socialist coffee:

Below is an excerpt of an open letter to Obama written by Cory Miller, an east Texas native, who disagrees with the junior senator’s political philosophies and economic ignorance

You can read the full text of the letter HERE

In short, Mr. Obama, your political philosophies represent everything that is wrong with our country. You represent the culture of government dependence instead of self-reliance; Entitlement mentality instead of personal achievement; Penalization of the successful to reward the unmotivated; Political correctness instead of open mindedness and open debate. If you are successful, you may preside over the final transformation of America from being the greatest and most self-reliant culture on earth, to just another country of whiners and wimps, who sit around looking to the government to solve their problems. Like all of western Europe. All countries on the decline. All countries that, because of liberal socialistic mentalities, have a little less to offer mankind every yea

This paragraph is substantiated by the words of Peggy Joseph, Obama voter:

“I never thought this day would happen. I won’t have to work on puttin’ gas in my car. I won’t have to work at payin’ my mortgage. You know. If I help him [Obama], he’s gonna help me.”

People like Cory the driller and hard working Americans nationwide are going to have their wealth redistributed in support of this woman’s mortgage and gas bills.

Reason # 45,956 – Why I despise the i-phone

A few days ago the ever fashionable Fausta broke the story of Gap encouraging its college age clientele to ‘Vote Twice!” with the above button. Hmmm…does that mean the early/absentee voters for Obie are going to try to vote again on Nov 4th?

Two nights ago, while syncing the i-frakking phone, the Apple servers decided to crash leaving me without a phone for a day.

When I was able to recover and reactivate the i-phone, I discovered all of my downloaded applications were gone.

Oh, just ducky.

While recovering my deleted applications, I spied a new free app pictured appropriately to the left. The app is called Obama 08. Reading the description, one can use it to connect to the heart of Obama and the pro abortion Catholic’s campaign.

Needless to say, I passed on this application, as no one can really afford the change Obama is proposing.
