Move over Tiller – The Left has a new Hero

A brilliant post on Sister Toldjah summarized the left wing credentials of James W. von Brunn:

Let’s forget for a second that, in addition to being a “Birther” von Brunn is also a … drumroll … Truther (via Capt. Ed), a conspiracy group right wingers strongly condemn. He hated “neo-cons,” too (via MM), another group that left wingers despise. Not only that, but, yes, Von Brunn is also a Holocaust denier, and last I checked, the left has more of a problem with Jew haters than the right does. He also wasn’t particularly fond of Christians, another issue that lends itself to being more “left wing” than “right wing.”

But – please – let’s not let the facts get in the way of a full-scale red meat rant againt the “Reich wing,” ok? Let’s just ignore the fact that this guy was an anti-Semite of the worst kind – those who use violence to “get their point across.” Let’s also ignore the fact that this guy is a Holocaust denier much like Iran’s president is – you know, the Islamofascist thug who our President pledged during the campaign to meet without any pre-conditions?

Wow, with these credentials, I’m sure there will be website with photos of supporters holding signs saying “I am James W. von Brunn”.

Gateway Pundit finds more information on the Left’s newest superstar:

Miss California Keeps Her Crown!

Mercury News reports on Trump’s statements:

“We’ve reviewed the pictures carefully,” Trump said at a packed news conference at Trump Plaza in New York City. “We’ve made a determination that the pictures taken were acceptable. Some were risque, but we are in the 21st century.”

It is a shame that liberals and feminists want to drag women away from their place in the 21st century and confine them to dogmatic principles best left in the past.

Mr. Trump continues:

Trump also defended the answer Prejean gave at the April 19 Miss USA pageant. She was asked her view of marriage by blogger Perez Hilton. Prejean said she believes marriage is between a man and a woman.

“It’s the same answer the president of the United States gave,” Trump said. “It’s the same answer many people gave. She gave an honorable answer. She gave an answer from her heart, and I think for that she has to be commended.”

Trump is right! Were is the righteous uproar demanding the resignation of Obama? Supposedly, he represents all of America, just like Miss America; and has appeared in photos topless. Why the silence? Shame on you for not standing up for your rights!

With this ruling, I expect a whole new level of tolerance towards conservative women to commence.

100 Days Later and Just As Angry

Byron York
takes a closer look at the continuing anger from those identifying themselves as liberals:

These should be happy times for liberals and the Democratic Party as a whole. They control the White House and Congress. Opposition Republicans are leaderless and lost. So why do some Democrats, particularly those farther to the left, appear so angry?

I’d say the anger runs deeper than political projections:

Their president of hope and change is against a special commission to investigate Bush-era terrorist interrogations. He is escalating the war in Afghanistan. He seems determined to bail out the nation’s richest bankers. For some on the left, it can be difficult to abide those actions and still maintain the image of one’s self atop the moral high ground. So, according to Anderson, they lash out at the easy target presented by the tea parties.

Femi-nonsense

25 Years of Virgin Airlines:

Wow – Can’t touch that!

Ironically, the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) received 29 complaints of sexism regarding this advertisement.Upon review, the agency rejected these whiny complaints, rightly so.

I find it disturbing that a tongue in cheek anniversary video would rise the ire of femi-nazi’s. Particularly in light of the recent reports of a pregnant gang rape victim in Saudi Arabia being sentenced to 100 lashes. The widespread silence from these same misogynists (yes, I’m talking to you, Camille Paglia) who complained about the Virgin Altantic video is deafening.

Speaking of disturbing, check out the down market style of Michelle

Honesty and the Conservative

Color me unsurprised:

The headline may seem like a trick question — even a dangerous one — to ask during an election year. And notice, please, that I didn’t ask whether certain politicians are more honest than others. (Politicians are a different species altogether.) Yet there is a striking gap between the manner in which liberals and conservatives address the issue of honesty.
Consider these results:
Is it OK to cheat on your taxes? A total of 57 percent of those who described themselves as “very liberal” said yes in response to the World Values Survey, compared with only 20 percent of those who are “very conservative.” When Pew Research asked whether it was “morally wrong” to cheat Uncle Sam, 86 percent of conservatives agreed, compared with only 68 percent of liberals.
Ponder this scenario, offered by the National Cultural Values Survey: “You lose your job. Your friend’s company is looking for someone to do temporary work. They are willing to pay the person in cash to avoid taxes and allow the person to still collect unemployment. What would you do?”
Almost half, or 49 percent, of self-described progressives would go along with the scheme, but only 21 percent of conservatives said they would.
When the World Values Survey asked a similar question, the results were largely the same: Those who were very liberal were much more likely to say it was all right to get welfare benefits you didn’t deserve.
The World Values Survey found that those on the left were also much more likely to say it is OK to buy goods that you know are stolen. Studies have also found that those on the left were more likely to say it was OK to drink a can of soda in a store without paying for it and to avoid the truth while negotiating the price of a car.
Another survey by Barna Research found that political liberals were two and a half times more likely to say that they illegally download or trade music for free on the Internet.

I’m not sure if the data from individuals who consider themselves independent factored into these studies. What a striking comparison, one that I have witnessed on a corner in West Chester, Pa. The author of this article offers up an opinion of why this disparity exists between liberals and conservatives:

The honesty gap is also not a result of “bad people” becoming liberals and “good people” becoming conservatives. In my mind, a more likely explanation is bad ideas. Modern liberalism is infused with idea that truth is relative. Surveys consistently show this. And if truth is relative, it also must follow that honesty is subjective.

Aid For Burma

December 23, 1990 – Appearing on the MacNeil-Lehrer New Hour, FCNL Executive Secretary Joe Volk is asked, in reference to the U.S. military’s humanitarian intervention in Somalia, if the military is ever capable of doing “God’s work.” Having consulted with foreign aid workers in Somalia, and hereby having formed the opinion that intervention by unarmed humanitarian groups has a better prospect for success, Volk says no. FCNL Chronology

Navy Admiral Finds A Way

The U.S. won permission to land more relief flights in Myanmar and boosted its aid offer five-fold to $16.25 million yesterday after a Navy admiral met with the military regime in the cyclone-devastated country.

Admiral Timothy Keating, chief of the U.S. Pacific Command, talked for two hours with naval officers, said Ky Luu, director of the U.S. Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance in Washington. Adm. Keating arrived on the first U.S. plane to land in the country formerly known as Burma since the cyclone struck May 3, killing as many as 100,000 people.

West Chester, PA – Berkeley Style

A beautiful Saturday in Berkeley West Chester, Pa brought out patriots to the steps of the West Chester Courthouse to remind the town that there are people who love and support our troops and their mission. We welcomed another local veteran into our fold this week. We are happy to have him join us and look forward to more gatherings with him.

The peace protesters were out in force, as usual, they had a plethora of ad hominen attacks, but nothing of substance to offer to the debate. What is it with peace protesters and parking illegally?

Speaking of debate, today there was a showdown of sorts in Berkeley, CA over Berkeley City Council’s recent ruling to evict the Marines as univited, unwelcome, intruders and its official encouragement of Code Pink to impede the work of the Marines by protesting in front of the recruiting station.

During the protest members of Code Pink held signs of support for the troops as pictured below:

On a previous visit to the recruiting office, Code Pink left a creative way to show love and support for our military:

I know you are curious to know how this is linked to a small town in rural Pennsylvania. Well, it seems my favorite peace movement – Chester County Peace Movement, under the direction of Karen Porter, has been begging for support from the PhillyDelawareRiverAreaCodePink. It seems CCPM is now the BFF of Code Pink Delaware Valley. I’m sure the membership is more than happy to share the same love and support for our troops as their sisters in Berkeley. Both organizations support the troops – don’t you know…

Sadly, her husband would not be welcome in Berkeley; if the Chester County Peace Movement and their new friends from Code Pink have their way, West Chester, PA will also be off limits to him as well.

Just to clarify what Code Pink and the CCPM mean when they say they ‘support our troops’, I present the following video:

Do As I Say….

A recent story being reported in the Aussie press has Nicole Kidman considering giving birth at one of Sydney’s top private hospitals instead of a state run hospital.

The hospital in question, Prince of Wales private hospital, is known for its state-of-the-art luxury. I’d imagine it also has state-of-the-art equipment as well.

Hmmm…decisions, decisions…wouldn’t life be so much easier for Nicole if she had no choice in medical care?

Also, didn’t she get the green memo about children and their damaging effect on the environment?
