House Alert: Vote No on HR 2499
What the heck is that?
Jane Canavah of Pro English explains HR 2499 and why our ‘representatives’ should vote no on this proposed legislation:
Capitol Switchboard: (202) 224-3121
Specter Switch Anniversary – Toomey Style
It’s been a year since Arlen Specter switched party affiliations and officially became the 60th vote for the Democrats. (As if they couldn’t count on his vote as a Republican)
A good way to mark the occasion would be to donate to Pat Toomey’s Specter Switch Moneybomb
Calling out the Liars: Rep Cleaver, Rep Lewis and Rep. Carson – You Lie!
Andrew Breitbart has offered up a $100,000 reward, to be donated to the United Negro College Fund, for any evidence of spitting or name calling occurred outside the Cannon Bldg.
So far, no takers.
Larry O’Connor of Big Journalism and BTR’s Stage Right Show offered a collection of videos submitted by readers present on the steps of the Cannon Building when the CBC made their way through the crowds:
Clearly, these videos refute the lies spread that day by Reps Cleaver, Lewis and Carson. It is imperative to ask the uncomfortable question about the character of these individuals, regardless of their past actions. The media is willing to take them at their word, despite the preponderance of evidence refuting their claim and the absence of any evidence to support their statements.
Andrew Breitbart gets to the heart of this issue in his recent post No More Beer Summits:
Congressman Carson refuses to respond to our requests because he can’t answer questions that deserve answers. The press is drawing a line in the sand for those that are doing the job the press should be doing: “Are you calling a civil rights legend a liar?” Unfortunately, I am. And the mainstream media are as complicit in this lie as Congressman Lewis.
It is truly a sad day when those dedicated to equality among races become the racist monster they dedicated their lives fighting against.
It is time for Reps Cleaver, Lewis and Carson to apologize to the American people then resign from office. Men of character would do no less.
#RaceCard
Obama seeks to reconnect with young people – African Americans, Lations and Women via the #RaceCard appeal.
All three groups, once they voted for Obama, were quickly screwed over by the Obama administration. Now he wants them back for the November landslide election.
Toldjah So..ObamaCare By The Numbers
“But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it” Nancy Pelosi
The progressive Democrat leadership promised America that their overhaul of healthcare, adding an additional 30 million individuals into a government controlled insurance plan would cut costs and not add additional taxation to the middle class.
Two reports released last week confirm what critics have been carefully explaining – the overhaul of healthcare will increase costs at a higher rate.
A report by economic experts at the Health and Human Services Department said the health care remake will achieve Obama’s aim of expanding health insurance — adding 34 million Americans to the coverage rolls. But the analysis also found that the law falls short of the president’s twin goal of controlling runaway costs. It also warned that Medicare cuts may be unrealistic and unsustainable, driving about 15% of hospitals into the red and “possibly jeopardizing access” to care for seniors.
CBO estimates 4 million Americans will face Health care fines:
A separate Congressional Budget Office analysis, also released Thursday, estimated that 4 million households would be hit with tax penalties under the law for failing to get insurance.
My N-Word is NOVEMBER
H/T to Erick Erickson for the title of this post.
Looks like the Philadelphia Inquirer is indulging in race baiting or is this the journalistic standard of the Inq? The Sunday edition included a reprinted piece written in December 2009 for Aspenia, an Italian journal. Professor Carlos Dews, living in Italy has the scoop on alleged American racism.
I get that Carlos feels he needs to bash America in front of his Italian colleagues. He’s got to fit in, as an expat, he certainly is vulnerable. The following quote from the article tells me all I need to know about Carlos.
Unfortunately, racists in the United States have learned one valuable lesson since the 1960s: They cannot express their racism directly. In public, they must veil their racial hatred behind policy differences.
According to this logic, Carlos or the Inquirer should label the thousands of President Bush protesters as racists. Help me out here, I can’t find any article from either that discusses the racist nature of the anti-Bush protesters.
So let me sum up the message here: white people protesting the policies of a white president is okay. However, Americans protesting the policies of a bi-racial president are inherently racist. Anyone else see the blantant hypocrisy of his logic?
Carlos Dews is a racist of the worst sort – one that foments racial divisions for his own benefit. Translated into a “To Kill A Mockingbird’ theme – Carlos is Bob Ewell. A character who knowingly promoted a lie in order to maintain the status quo of racial prejudice within the community while protecting his sad affairs.
Boston Tea Party Blend…Got Some?
Enjoyed some revolutionary tea as I surfed on forums hosted at the Coffee Party website.
I found a post that seems to capture the essence of the Java people. Destroy Your Enemies..Make Them Your Friend:
Hubbel Reaches 20
Via Hubblesite.org
This image, obtained with the Advanced Camera for Surveys on February 8, 2004, is Hubble’s latest view of an expanding halo of light around a distant star, named V838 Monocerotis (V838 Mon). The illumination of interstellar dust comes from the red supergiant star at the middle of the image, which gave off a flashbulb-like pulse of light two years ago. V838 Mon is located about 20,000 light-years away from Earth in the direction of the constellation Monoceros, placing the star at the outer edge of our Milky Way galaxy.
Called a light echo, the expanding illumination of a dusty cloud around the star has been revealing remarkable structures ever since the star suddenly brightened for several weeks in early 2002. Though Hubble has followed the light echo in several snapshots, this new image shows swirls or eddies in the dusty cloud for the first time. These eddies are probably caused by turbulence in the dust and gas around the star as they slowly expand away. The dust and gas were likely ejected from the star in a previous explosion, similar to the 2002 event, which occurred some tens of thousands of years ago. The surrounding dust remained invisible and unsuspected until suddenly illuminated by the brilliant explosion of the central star two years ago.
H8 Free in Eugene, Oregon?
H/T: Hot Air
Note the Obama inspired ‘hope she chokes’ sign right behind ‘Eugene A HATE FREE Zone’. Ahh, nothing beats a good dose of hypocrisy at a liberal protest.
So, where are the media drama queens proclaiming this sign to be proof of left wing hate bordering on violence. *Cue crickets*.
Although, those two signs together make for a classic study in liberal hypocrisy; I don’t consider the implied threat of violence, apparently endorsed by Obama, too seriously. I’m more concerned about the track record of violence attached to the Veterans For Peace supporters that are pictured in the crowd – they are holding a flag with a white dove on black background. When a violent attack against conservatives or Tea Party supporters occurs, and it will, those folks may be involved.
Shocking, I know. All the fear mongering by the MSM and grass root liberal groups against Americans peacefully expressing their concerns about the current administration will end up backfiring on them. Resulting with a person connected with a left wing liberal group or self identifying as a liberal physically attacking a Tea Party member.
I speak from experience in this matter. I’ve witnessed the same type of fear mongering from left wing hate groups on a local level. On March 22, 2008 a member of Veterans For Peace and Chester County Peace Movement violently attacked a female blogger during a protest in West Chester, Pa. His excuse for violence – he was angry. Much like the protesters in Eugene, Oregon, the members of Coffeeparty USA, or any local left wing hate group.
The video evidence is posted below:
