MJ is Dead

Best tweet I’ve read about MJ:

@Lagwolf – Now that the pop star with dubious sexual proclivities has been buried can we get on with real issues like Iran, Honduras & NK?

Best video on the death of MJ:

Can we now move on?

135th Kentucky Derby Winner – Mine That Bird

A 50 to 1 long shot was the surprise winner of the 2009 Kentucky Derby. Mine That Bird, paired with jockey, Calvin Borell, pulled out of the pack in the last leg of the race, outpacing the competition and finishing with a stunning victory at the 2009 Kentucky Derby. Equine competitors in this race came as far as Saudi Arabia, transported by jet to Kentucky. The winning horse was personally driven from New Mexico by his owner, Bennie Woolley, who recently suffered a crushing injury to his ankle.

A real American fairytale – a horse from humble beginings finds his place among the stars, without the help of a government bailout!

Congratulations to the Bennie, Calvin and Mine That Bird – see you at Preakness Stakes.

Run, Oprah, Run!

Oprah reflecting on her recent out of control weight gain, topping at a svelte 200 pounds.

“When it comes to maintaining my health I didn’t just fall off the wagon. I let the wagon fall on me,” “I didn’t follow my own fundamental rule of taking care of self first.”

Maintaining a healthy weight is quite easy with a little more of this:

and a whole lot less of this:

Too bad Oprah missed the opportunity to interview with Sarah Palin. She could have picked up a few tips from Sarah on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Do As I Say….

A recent story being reported in the Aussie press has Nicole Kidman considering giving birth at one of Sydney’s top private hospitals instead of a state run hospital.

The hospital in question, Prince of Wales private hospital, is known for its state-of-the-art luxury. I’d imagine it also has state-of-the-art equipment as well.

Hmmm…decisions, decisions…wouldn’t life be so much easier for Nicole if she had no choice in medical care?

Also, didn’t she get the green memo about children and their damaging effect on the environment?

The ‘Real’ Life: Paris sent back to Jail

Stupid Girl

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Screaming and crying, Paris Hilton was escorted out of a courtroom and back to jail Friday after a judge ruled that she must serve out her entire 45-day sentence behind bars rather than in her Hollywood Hills home.

“It’s not right!” shouted the weeping Hilton, who violated her parole in a reckless driving case. “Mom!” she called out to her mother in the audience.

Oscar 2007

Oscar thoughts:

Is Nicole Kidman hermetically sealed away somewhere until Oscar night? Seriously, It is not humanly possible to be so perfectly put together.

How remote of chance is it for Gore NOT to win an Academy Award for his nonsense sold as fact documentary?

Anna Nicole Smith Dead

Update to the Celebrity Dead Pool:

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Anna Nicole Smith, the pneumatic blonde whose life played out as an extraordinary tabloid tale — Playboy centerfold, jeans model, bride of an octogenarian oil tycoon, reality-show subject, tragic mother — died Thursday after collapsing at a hotel. She was 39.

So sad, another b-list celebrity lost to their addictions. Oh, we can be comforted in the knowledge that she’ll live on in her dead vote.
