Orchid Days @ The Conservatory

Orchid Madness at Longwood Garden. The Conservatory was covered with thousands of Orchids arranged in clever displays. This was close encounter experience with many exotic species of Orchid that leaves visitors dazzled and smelling like a corsage.

Honestly, I had forgotten about this exhibit and did not have a tripod or the right lenses and flash to really capture the beauty of these flowers. I never saw so many photographers with macro lenses and ring flashes in one place! Nevertheless, I worked with what I had and manged to capture a few intriguing photos.

Enjoy!

West Chester Rally 03/29/2008

The Women of the Chester County Victory Movement

A beautiful and chilly day for a rally, one that ended in peace and harmony. Today, I saw many new faces mixed with old friends on the steps of the Courthouse and it was an astounding display. I look forward to many more Saturday’s spent in your company.

I want to take the opportunity give a big THANK YOU to those who took the time to email, leave comments or stood with me today in West Chester. Those of you who worked tirelessly to get the message out – your support meant the world to me this past week.

My first ‘combat’ ribbon – Isn’t it pretty πŸ™‚

West Chester Rally 03/22/2008

A beautiful day for a rally that turned ugly when a peace protester crossed the line from ugly remarks to violence.

Snarky retorts, name calling and mis characterizations by the CCPM are common place events in my 7 month documentary of this rally. Yesterday crossed the line, when I was struck twice by a peace protester. I can deal with all the above, but will NOT tolerate any form of violence against my person. I am consulting legal advice on this matter.

Blog Talk Radio – The Victory Hour

Listen to MidnightBlue Says... on internet talk radio

Saturday’s episode of The Victory Hour, I have the pleasure of chatting with John Hawkins – proprietor of RightWingNews & Conservative Grapevine. John is an insightful writer, brilliant conversationalist and an outstanding gentleman. Yes, he is all that!

Two recent articles posted on RightWingNews caught my attention:

“Blogging While Female” Part 1

“Blogging While Female” Part 2

John interviewed prominent female bloggers regarding the unique trials that face women in the blogosphere and questioned them on the keys to success as a blogger.

Does gender affect how the blogger is perceived by the web surfing public? Does the political stance of a female blogger make a difference? Are conservative female bloggers more of a target of hate mail/speech than liberal(progressive) female bloggers?

These are a few questions that I plan to cover and shed light on this topic.

Sound dishy? Tune in and Call in to the Victory Hour this Saturday 5:30 pm EST.

The call in # : 347-215-8917
