Help Make March ‘Herstory’ Month History

Men – their rights and nothing more; Women – their rights and nothing less. –  SBA

It’s late in the evening on March 31st, the last day of March celebrating Women’s History month. Imagine that, an entire month recognizing the achievements of women primarily in western cultures and within the 20th century. Coinciding this month was International Women’s Day (March 8th). Add the celebrations together gives one a double helping of Herstory in the month of March. Why don’t we all give each other a pat on the back for a job well done.

Why do I get the odd feeling our female forbearers are laughing at women today? In is truly amazing these women mananged to survive and succeed in such testosterone laden times without the self esteem booster shots of National Women’s Month and International Women’s Day.

Women have become such fragile beings under the corrupt spell of feminism. Today’s feminism does not recognize that idea that the best person for any position should be preferred regardless of race or gender. Instead women are told they need to self segregate themselves as ‘feminists’ and hold everyone else accountable for failures in their life. Organizations such as NOW and Planned Parenthood fostered a warped idea of feminism that has created a subset of broken women filled with seething hatred.

There is not much that can be done for these women, but the future is still unwritten. We have an opportunity to break this chain victimization and it starts with ending Herstory month. Send the message to young women that they are stronger than they realize and capable of creating happy and health lives without NOW or PP. Indeed, a truly healthy society is one in which NOW and PP have no place.

Wednesday Blend

Wednesday is a day of rest from running and strength training in preparation for the 2011 Broad Street Run and two half marathons. I’ve been in a  happy bubble training for the run while the world burns on it seems.

A few items have caught my attention between running meetups and gym time:

Live Action strikes again! This time catching the president of PP, Cecile Richards, in a bold faced lie about health services provided by PP. The video evidence of PP’s inability to provide mammograms must be viewed and shared widely. Planned Parenthood recieves 350 million in taxpayer funds – clearly none of the funds are directed to provide mammograms. If you live in PA CD-13, please email the video to Rep. Allyson Schwartz and ask her how many mammograms were done during her tenure as director of the Elizabeth Blackwell Planned Parenthood center?

My thoughts on Obama’s Libya speech is simple and to the point: Obama is no Thomas Sowell or Jon Stewart. Flashback – Obama 2002 -toppling brutal dictator is a ‘dumb war‘.

Speaking of war – is there a war on Easter in Ohio?

Michelle Obama’s home district falls last in health survey. Not surprising, they don’t read Urban Garden Goddess on a regular basis.

Obamacare – One year later – have you got your waiver?  Via Hertiage Foundation Obamacare: The One-Year Checkup: Overall, Obamacare has increased government control of Americans’ health care choices and limited consumer choice. The more than 1,000 waivers already granted tacitly acknowledge that Obamacare’s “benefits” are not worth its costs. One year later, more industries and individuals want out of Obamacare than those who actually support it.  How about we set a goal by 2012 for every American to possess an Obamacare waiver?

Help find Marizela Perez !

Due to the reasons explained above, I totally missed Earth Hour – my bad!

Government shut down? Bring it on!

Whew, so much stuff going on and so little time to blog.  Hope you enjoy the blend, folks!

God Loves The Stupid and Rachel Sequoia

John 8:7 (KJV)
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

Found this gem in the Philly Inquirer this morning:

Liberal Catholic Moms conspire for change.

Wow, a couple questions arise after reading this scheme:

Outside of the basic tenet of the presumption of innocence before proven guilty, what could go wrong this hair brained scheme?  Besides declaring the priests guilty without due process, what do these womyn hope to accomplish?

It is interesting to note that Ms. Susan Matthews is related to our favorite tingle-legged DNC water carrier on MSNBC. I’m no religious scholar but is it possible to excommunicate the stupid out of the Catholic faith?

Instead of embarrassing the Catholic faith, Matthews and Kane could best employ their talents promoting Rachel Sequoia’s startup  “Share The Air”

No Blood For Libyan Oil

Shame on us.

Philly journalist Chris Friend serves up some salient points on Obama’s war for oil.

The United States’ involvement in Libya, a nation that in no manner attacked America or caused it harm, sets an extremely dangerous precedent. Ironically, this effort, executed with no foresight and one that has absolutely no endgame, further endangers our national security. Playing into the mentality of millions of Muslims that the U.S. seeks to dominate their countries will only enflame anti-American feelings.

Chris calls out what I’ve been questioning regarding the media’s coverage of the uprising by insurgents in Libya. Why is the MSM labeling insurgents as rebels in Libya? How different are they from the Iraqi insurgents or the muslim Brotherhood? On this blog, any reference to supporters of Libya’s uprising will be called by their proper name – insurgents.

A seasoned thinker who hails from fair England left a thought provoking message in the comment section of Philly Mag that is just too good not to share with my readers. Robert blogs at Atlantic Crossings and it is well worth the time to read his posts.

Supermoon Tonight!

Lunar Winter Solstice

NASA says:

On March 19th, a full Moon of rare size and beauty will rise in the east at sunset. It’s a super “perigee moon”–the biggest in almost 20 years.

“The last full Moon so big and close to Earth occurred in March of 1993,” says Geoff Chester of the US Naval Observatory in Washington DC. “I’d say it’s worth a look.”

Hazy clouds obscuring the moon tonight. Wish I had access to a RCX400 with a CCD camera. Ahh,  the photos I could take…

Okay, now I am officially jealous 🙂

#NewTone Death Threats Against Wisconsin Republican Senators

Perhaps Katie Couric would like to explore the climate of hate that inspired death threats to be leveled against 18 Wisconsin Republican Senators?

The Blaze reveals an email death threat sent to Wisconsin state senators. The email contains not just the general ‘I hate you and wish you would just die’ type of threat but specific homicidal actions the author of this email is contemplating acting on.

This is no joke and authorities are investigating this email. I’m hoping the trail does not end up in the leafy suburbs outside of Philly. Pennsylvania seems to have an over abundance of the crazy.
